Partial Payment for Water System Interconnect Phase I — Riley Brothers <br />Construction: Resolution No. 2006-053: <br />City Engineer Prew recommended Partial Payment for Water Systems Interconnect <br />Phase I to Riley Brothers Construction. Residents Neil and Debbie Krueger submitted <br />their concerns about the process, and work not being done. <br />Staff stated that the City has been in contact about the delay, letters have been sent, and <br />Travelers Insurance (bonding company) was put on notice. Riley Construction has hired <br />extra crew, and it would be another three weeks before completion. <br />M/S/P Johnson/Smith — to adopt Resolution No. 2006-053, authorizing partial payment <br />for Water System Interconnect Phase I to Riley Brothers Construction, Certificate No. 5, <br />in the amount of $14,187,00. (Motion passed 3-0) <br />G. Partial Payment for Water System Interconnect Phase III — Riley Brothers <br />Construction: Resolution No. 2006-054: <br />M/S/P Johnson/Smith — to adopt Resolution No. 2006-054, authorizing partial payment <br />for Water System Interconnect Phase III to Riley Brothers Construction, Certificate No. <br />4, in the amount of $222,561.78. (Motion passed 3-0) <br />G. City Logo: (removed for discussion) <br />The current City of Lake Elmo logo is approximately 25 years old. At the May 9, 2006, <br />Council Workshop, new signage was discussed for the new water tower and Public <br />Works building. City Administrator Rafferty requested Council direction to move <br />forward with a new City Logo/design. <br />Council discussed approaching the logo issue a different way, and did not believe a new <br />logo was needed. <br />M/S/F Johnson/Smith — to approve updating the City Logo, Step One, with Wright <br />Design, for an estimated cost of $1800.00.
