Development Application for John & Laurie Hamerly <br />Property — 9429 Jane Rd. N., Lake Elmo, NIN. 55042 <br />Lot 15 Berschens Shores. <br />Detailed reason for request: <br />We would like to remove our old garage and attach to our home a new garage. In so <br />doing we will change the elevation and eliminate the water problem that exists. In the <br />fall with snow and rain our garage floods because of the elevation being lower than the <br />road. I have ice on the floor most of the winter. The road resurfacing has created <br />pooling water along the entire driveway entrance. By changing the entrance and <br />elevation this water and ice hazard will be eliminated. <br />By attaching the garage to the house I will be able to realign the driveway for safety <br />reasons. I currently have to back out onto the road. As you can see from the site plan <br />there is a curve in the road and it makes for a dangerous situation. By attaching my <br />garage we will be able to drive out forward safely. <br />Hardship: <br />Water flooding of garage floor. <br />Safety <br />a. Water and ice on garage floor. <br />b.
