The Council said it appreciated the opportunities for discussion because preserving the <br />park reserve is a very important item to Lake Elmo. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Conlin - to schedule a workshop meeting with our three City <br />representatives on the Lake Elmo Park Master Plan Draft Committee and extend an invite <br />to the Parks Commission. (Motion passed 5-0.) <br />4. CONSENT AGENDA: <br />A. Resolution No, 2005-128: Approving Claims <br />M/S/P Johnson/Conlin - to approve Resolution No. 2005-128, A Resolution Approving <br />claim numbers 292 through 295, DD573 through DD582, 28269 through 28308 which <br />were used for Staff Payroll dated November 23, 2005; claims 28309 through 28350, in <br />the total amount of $448,493.35. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />B. Resolution No. 2005-130: Statutory Tort Limits on Liability Insurance <br />The Finance Director reported the City obtains liability coverage through the League of <br />Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust for buildings and vehicles. The coverage also covers <br />tort liability. Because of this coverage, the City must decide whether or not to waive the <br />monetary limits on municipal tort liability as established by Minnesota Statutes 466.04. <br />He noted that the City has elected not to waive the tort liability and staff recommended <br />that the City adopt a resolution stating that the City does not waive the monetary limits on <br />municipal tort liability. <br />M/S/P Johnson/Conlin - to adopt Resolution No. 2005-130, A Resolution Stating the City <br />of Lake Elmo Does Not Waive the Monetary Limits on Municipal Tort Liability. <br />(Motion passed 5-0). <br />C. 2006 Liquor Licenses <br />M/S/P Johnson/Conlin - to grant a 2006 On -Sale intoxicating liquor and On -Sale Sunday <br />intoxicating license to 3M Club of St. Paul (Operators of Tartan Park) and to the Machine <br />Shed Restaurant by Heart of America Restaurants and Inn; based on approval of the <br />Washington County Sheriff's Department. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />M/S/P Johnson/Conlin - to grant a 2006 On -sale intoxicating liquor, Off -Sale intoxicating <br />liquor, and On -Sale Sunday intoxicating liquor license to the Twin Point Tavern and <br />Lake Elmo Inn; based on approval of the Washington County Sheriff's Department. <br />(Motion passed 5-0). <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES DECEMBER 6, 2005 4 <br />
