CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO.2006-027 <br />A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID FOR THE WATER SYSTEM <br />INTERCONNECT PHASE IV PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Water System Interconnect Phase IV <br />Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received <br />complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor <br />Base Bid <br />Ellingson Drainage <br />$412,758.68 <br />Push Inc. <br />$468,906.50 <br />MinnComm <br />$482,481.60 <br />EBI Drilling <br />$506,710.00 <br />G.M. Contracting, Inc. <br />$517,502.65 <br />Michels Corporation <br />$755,441.34 <br />EMJ Pipe Services, Inc. <br />$834,367.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, Ellingson Drainage is the lowest responsible bidder. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LAKE ELMO, <br />MINNESOTA: <br />1. The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Ellingson <br />Drainage in the name of the City of Lake Elmo for the Water System Interconnect Phase IV <br />Project, according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and <br />on file in the office of the city clerk. <br />2. The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits <br />made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest <br />bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />ADOPTED, by the Lake Elmo City Council this 21 st day of April, 2006. <br />Dean Johnston, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Martin J.
