Because of the cold weather snap, he alerted fire place owners to not walk away from <br />fireplaces with an open flame. The Building Official explained the building dept. uses <br />Marathon Gas for pumping gas in their vehicles because it is the only place that you can <br />get your trucks washed. Council member DeLapp asked if we have learned what <br />happened to the drippings from the car wash. The Building Official said he thought it <br />had to be filtered out, but he will find out. <br />8. CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT: <br />A. Tablyn Park Overlay roject Resolution No 2006-019•Authorize <br />Engineer to Prepare Feasibility Report <br />The City Engineer reported the streets within the Tablyn Park neighborhood have been <br />the top project in the Capital Improvements Plan for at least two years and that it is in the <br />City's budget again for 2006. He said with the water main project occurring this <br />summer, this is the opportune time to complete this project. He would anticipate <br />performing this work in conjunction with the street project munrmze disruption to the <br />neighborhood. He said the Tablyn Park Overlay Project Will be an assessed project and <br />appraisals have been done. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Conlin — to adopt Resolution No. 2006 019, A Resolution Ordering the <br />Preparation of a Feasibility Report for the Tablyn Park Netghborhood Overlay Project. <br />(Motion passed 4-0.) <br />I: <br />The City Engineer reported �cordmg tstate atdnles, each City may designate up to <br />20% of its local streets mileage �s coll'ector roU�s that are eligible for State Aid funds. In <br />order for the City to maxniriize its share of State Aid construction finds, we need to <br />designate as many rorftes as possible.I' Currently, Lake Elmo has 2.3 miles available to <br />designate. <br />The City Engineer recommended that a route be established from the intersection of <br />TH36 and Manning Avenue ;through the Sanctuary subdivision, south to 50th Street. This <br />route will be about 1.2 milesin length. About half of this route is through undeveloped <br />property and will be defined once the property is developed. <br />M/S/P Johnson/Conlin — to adopt Resolution No. 2006-020, A Resolution Establishing <br />Municipal State Aid Highways for Manning Avenue from TH36 to Mh Street North. <br />(Motion passed 4-0). <br />Council member DeLapp said he is strongly opposed because we have two developments <br />basically governed by state rules on roads instead of the City. He said it does look like a <br />great alternative to Highway 5. Everybody is going to take that route to get out of the <br />Stillwater High School area.
