Lake Elmo Agenda Section: Parks Commission <br />City Council <br />11-08-2006 No. 7B <br />Background Information for November 8, 2006: <br />Parks Commission <br />The city has received a letter of resignation from John Heroff who has served on the Parks Commission <br />since 1998. <br />Motion , Second , to accept the resignation of John Heroff <br />from the Parks Commission, and to direct the assistant administrator to send a letter of gratitude <br />for his service to the city and its residents. <br />With the previous action, Judith Blackford, I" Alternate Member of the Parks Commission can step into <br />the Full Voting Member position vacated by John Heroff. <br />Motion , Second , to appoint Judith Blackford as Full Voting <br />Member of the Parks Commission for a term of three years. <br />Jolui Booher, currently 2"d Alternate Member can move up into 1 St Alternate Member position. <br />Motion , Second , to appoint John Booher as I" Alternate <br />Member of the Parks Commission. <br />There is now one vacancy on the Parks Commission. One application remains on file. Staff continues to <br />advertise commission openings on the web site, newsletter, and through press releases.
