CITY OF LAKE ELMO, MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZATION FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br />TO: Toltz, King, Duvall, Anderson <br />and Associates, Incorporated <br />444 Cedar Street, Suite 1500 <br />St. Paul, Minnesota 55101 <br />Pursuant to our Agreement dated February 2, 1988, you are hereby authorized to proceed with <br />the professional services described as follows. Hereinafter, the City of Lake Elmo is referred to <br />as the OWNER. <br />OLD VILLAGE SANITARY SEWER STUDY <br />I. PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />The OWNER desires an engineering study to address the means and costs to provide sanitary <br />sewage collection to the Old Village portion of the City. It is assumed that the collection system <br />will consist of gravity sanitary sewers in the Old Village area and a combination of lift <br />station/force mains and gravity trunk sewers extending to the North Frontage Road along I-94, <br />where connection will be made to a planned MCES interceptor. <br />II. SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED BY TKDA <br />TKDA is requested to provide the following services for the Project: <br />A. Review the limits of the future sewered areas. <br />B. Analyze up to two separate routes to provide sanitary sewer service to the Old Village <br />area. <br />C. Review and incorporate the area south of 10th Street to determine suitable pipe sizes and <br />routes. <br />D. Work with the "allied property owners" within the Old Village to determine routes to <br />provide service to this developing portion of the City. <br />E. Provide cost analysis and schedule for recommended trunk sewer plan. <br />F. . Recommend a sewer availability charge for the Old Village area. <br />-1- <br />
