Lake Elmo <br />Agenda Section: Planning, Land Use and Zoning <br />No. 9A <br />City Council <br />October 3, 2006 <br />Agenda Item: Zoning Ordinance Amendment — Accessory Buildings <br />Background Information for October 3.2006: <br />On the August 15 the Council approved an interpretation of some unclear terms regarding the allowable <br />area of accessory in the Non -Conforming AG zoning district. The Council also directed the City Attorney <br />(rather than Planning staff) to prepare amendments to the accessory structure standards to clearly state the <br />allowable area interpretation agreed to by the Council. <br />We have attached the City Attorney's draft of the proposed amendments. The City Council's concurrence <br />with that draft language is requested prior to scheduling of a Public Hearing before the Planning <br />Commission — which is required for any zoning text amendments. <br />Action items: <br />Person res onsible: <br />4ty <br />Motion to approve the text of a proposed zoning ordinance <br />amendment and directing staff to publish Notice of Hearing on the <br />proposed amendment. <br />Attachments: <br />Time Allocated: <br />1.
