Lake Elmo <br />Agenda Section: Planning, Land Use and Zoning <br />No. 9B <br />City Council <br />September 19, <br />2006 <br />Agenda Item: Meeting with Oak Park Heights City Council — Buberl/Nass/Bidon Annexation <br />Background Information for September 19, 2006: <br />The captioned property owners have (again) submitted a September 5, 2006 request to Oak Park Heights to <br />have lands in Lake Elmo between the Kern Center and Manning - parallel to Highway 36 - detached form <br />Lake Elmo and annexed to Lake Elmo. By his September 14 letter the Oak Park Heights City Council has <br />requested a joint meeting with the Lake Elmo City Council at the Oak Park Heights City Hall at 6:00 PM on <br />Tuesday, September 26, 2006 to discuss the property owner's annexation request. September 26 is an "off <br />Tuesday for the City Council. <br />The property owners have not notified Lake Elmo of their annexation request to date. New State Law <br />(effective August 1, 2006) now requires approval by both cities in a concurrent detachment/annexation <br />action as this would be.
