2. MINUTES: June 20, 2000 <br />M/S/P Armstrong/DeLapp — to approve the June 20, 2000 City Council Minutes, as <br />amended. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />MINUTES: July 18, 2000 <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Armstrong — to approve the July 18, 2000 City Council Minutes, as <br />amended. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />3. CLAIMS <br />Question if this was a typo in Kevin Shoeberg's Criminal Prosecution, line item June 1, <br />00, 0 Hours, in the amount of $150.00. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Dunn — to adopt Resolution No. 2000-029, as presented, in the amount of <br />$74,155.51. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />4. PUBLIC INOUIRIES/INFORMATIONAL <br />A. Public Inquiries - None <br />B. Warning System Sirens <br />Mayor Hunt reported that MAC has been working with Federal Signal since January to <br />come up and review final siren locations. The cost of each siren is approximately <br />$20,000 installed. MAC suggested purchasing 10 or 11 warning system sirens over a <br />period of time. The siren will be replaced at Cimarron and Fire Station located on <br />Laverne Avenue N.. Fire Chief Malmquist contacted Mike Polebna, Washington County <br />Parks, who said there is no money in their budget for a warning siren. Malmquist will <br />continue to investigate and will be contacting Washington County Impact. MAC <br />recommended that the staff create a concept plan for the sirens to include the placement <br />and funding. <br />C. Huff N Puff Proclamation:Lake Elmo Jaycees: Todd Carlson <br />Todd Carlson, Lake Elmo Jaycees Chair, requested the Council proclaim August 10-13, <br />2000 to be Huff N Puff Days, the official City celebration for 2000 in Lake Elmo. <br />M/S/P Dunn/Siedow- to proclaim August 10-13, 2000 as Huff Puff Days and to waive <br />the fees for the ballfield lights. (Motion passed 5 —0.) <br />MAYOR HUNT PROCLAIMED THE SECOND WEEK OF AUGUST, 2000 AS <br />HUFF'N PUFF DAYS AND NAMED THE CITY CELEBRATION FOR LAKE ELMO <br />AND TO ENCOURAGE ALL CITIZENS OF THIS CITY TO PARTICIPATE AND <br />EXTEND THEIR UTMOST SUPPORT FOR THIS ORGANIZATON AND THOSE IN <br />IT WI-IO CONTINUE THEIR FINE WORK FOR OUR COMMUNITY. <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES AUGUST 1, 2000 2 <br />
