S. CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT: <br />A. Verbal update on Closure of 55`h Street <br />Tom Prow reported this project will start either on Monday or Tuesday. <br />The question was asked if a 72 passenger bus will be able to turnaround at <br />this cul-de-sac? School buses cannot turn around at the hammerhead at 151h <br />Street and at Cardinal Ridge. Staff will look into the two hammerheads at <br />50`h and 551h Street and come back with recommendations. <br />B. Approval of Change Order # 1 and Final Payment to Keys Well Drilling <br />for Well #2 <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Siedow - to approve Compensating Change Order No. 1 for <br />11,190.00, which reduces the total cost of the project. (Motion passed 5-0.) <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Siedow — to approve the final payment of $18,739.50 to <br />Keys Well Drilling for the completion of Well #2. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />C. Resolution for award of bid for Well No. 3 to Keys Well Drilling. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Siedow — to adopt resolution no. 2001-099 awarding the bid <br />for the construction of Well #3 to Keys Well Drilling for $146,250.00 to be <br />paid by the water bond. (Motion passed 4-1:Dunn didn't want to get into <br />more debt.) <br />9. PLANNING, LAND USE & ZONING: <br />A. Planning Commission Recommendation Zoning Code Update <br />Consultant <br />Planner Dillerud reported the Planning Commission interviewed the three <br />finalist consulting firms, Resource Strategies Corp., TKDA, and Northwest <br />Associated Consultants for the Zoning Code Update Project at its meeting of <br />September 10, 2001. Seven of the nine commissioners voted to recommend <br />to the Council that Northwest Associated Consultant be retained for this <br />project based on the extensive experience with zoning code work in other <br />metro area communities. There remain two projects approved for CDBG <br />funding for which consulting firms will be needed to be retained; Old <br />Village Neighborhood Design; and the Cimarron Neighborhood Study.
