CITY COUNCIL REPORTS: <br />OATH OF OFFICE: The Oath of Office was administered to Mayor Hunt and Council <br />Members Steve DeLapp and Dean Johnston. <br />Mayor Hunt called the Council Meeting to order at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers. <br />PRESENT: Siedow, Dunn, Hunt, Johnston, DeLapp, Acting Administrator Dillerud, City <br />Attorney Filla, City Engineer Prew and Parks/Public Works Supervisor Mike Bouthilet. <br />1. AGENDA <br />ADD: Lighting for Intersections, Update on Met Council Hearing, Committee <br />assignments, Council member Dunn made a request in writing for an update from <br />Attorney Shoeberg at a special meeting date to be determined. <br />M/S/P Johnston/DeLapp — to approve the January 7, 2003 City Council agenda, as <br />amended. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />2. MINUTES: December 19, 2002 <br />M/S/P Siedow/Dunn — to approve the December 19, 2002 City Council Minutes, as <br />presented. (Motion passed 4-0-lAbstain: Johnston) <br />3. PUBLIC INQUIRIESANFORMATIONAL: <br />A. Public Inquiries — No Inquiries <br />Lake Elmo Jaycees <br />Eric Sorenson, 2003 Jaycee President, explained the background of the Lake Elmo <br />Jaycees and asked Mayor Hunt to proclaim January 19 -25, 2003 as Lake Elmo Junior <br />Chamber Week. <br />MAYOR HUNT PROCLAIMED THE WEEK OF JANUARY 19-25, 2003 AS LAKE <br />ELMO JUNIOR CHAMBER WEEK IN THE CITY OF LAKE ELMO, AND URGE <br />ALL LAKE ELMO CITIZENS TO RECOGNIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF <br />COMMUNITY SERVICE TO ALL OF ITS CITIZENS. <br />4. FNANCE REPORT: <br />A. Claims <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Dunn- to adopt Resolution No. 2003-002 Approving claim numbers <br />100, 101, 22980 through 23002,were used for the December 26a' payroll, retro COLA <br />Back Pay and taxes in the amount of $32,811.97 and Claim Numbers 23003 through <br />23046 were used for accounts payable in the amount of $56,876.09 are hereby approved. <br />(Motion Passed 5-0). <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES JANUARY 7, 2003 2 <br />
