He said as long as progress is made no regulatory <br />action will be taken. <br />M/S/P Johnston/Siedow — to extend Kevin Shoeberg's contract until the end of June to <br />allow for a smooth transition to Jerry Filla's firm, Peterson, Frain and Bergman for the <br />balance of the year. (Motion passed 3-2:Mayor Hunt said he considered Attorney <br />Shoeberg's advice on the course of action for the investigation was a good suggestion and <br />Shoeberg has done a good job for the City; Council member DeLapp said he didn't see <br />any reason for change. He said Shoeberg has done an exceptional job for the City and <br />has received supporting documentation to that fact <br />Council member Dunn asked if signs declaring guns aren't welcome here should be <br />installed in all City facilities. The Acting Administrator said the Council made a motion <br />to amend the Personnel Policy. Attorney Filla stated we can put the signs up before an <br />ordinance can be drafted. <br />11. <br />IA <br />The Acting City Administrator reported he has completed Annual Performance <br />Evaluations for four city employees that have passed their anniversary dates of City <br />employees. He said the evaluations were not attached and asked if the Council wanted to <br />review them. The Council responded it did not need to see the employee evaluations. <br />The Acting Administrator asked if the Council wanted him to bring recommendations of <br />step increases to the Council. The Council responded they would like to see the <br />information, but, this did not take Council action. Mr. Dillerud noted the new policy is <br />the Council does not need to see the employee evaluations, but will bring to the Council <br />information regarding the steps that have been granted. <br />M/S/P Siedow/Johnston — to approve the Administrator's recommendations regarding <br />salary progressions, and retro pay to the respective anniversary dates, for Sharon Lumby, <br />Tom Bouthilet, Kimberly Schaffel and Jim McNamara, based on annual Performance <br />Evaluations completed by the Administrator, and on file in the respective Personnel <br />Records. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />B. Recommendation to Hire Building Inspector/Water Technician <br />On May 6, 2003, the Council authorized creation of the new City staff position of <br />Building Inspector/Water Technician; and, also authorized the Acting Administrator to <br />recruit candidates for the new position. All existing City employees were notified of the <br />position opening.
