Minutes of the Board of Equalization of Lake Elmo, Minnesota. <br />Meeting called to order at 1:10 p.m. by C. Shervheim. 41J-173 <br />Present: Shervheim, Friedrich, Park and Mehsikomer <br />Present from Assessor's Office was Mr. Christiansen. <br />1. Richard Lambert Plate 37016 - 2400 <br />Bldg. evaluated at $110,258 - Commercial property is rated at <br />85% of cost. Mr. Lambert presented cost detail of $117,600. <br />Recommend reduction from $110,258 to $99,960. <br />Property remains at $3,300. <br />2. Ronald Kane - Plate 37003-2004 5 APT of SE 1/4 of <br />SE 1/4 South 330' of East 660' subject to R/W of town road. <br />Market value established at $29,260. Review of all specials <br />reveals an overcharge of $160 for half bath - Recommend <br />reduction from $29,260 to $29,100. <br />3. Dale Foote - Plate 37750-4300 2759 Irish <br />Lot 1 and 2 except East 50 ft. of Lot 2 B1. 5 Tablyn Park. <br />Market value $29,500. <br />Claims measurement of house is 1 ft. off in both length and <br />width. <br />Recommend that assessor remeasure and if house has incorrect <br />dimensions that evaluation be adjusted. <br />ti4. Clyde Theits - Plate 37085-2800 <br />Lot 17 Block 1 Bergman Addition. <br />Paid 32,750 - market value $32,520. <br />Complained that extra lot was no good as a buildable lot since <br />it was only 100' frontage. Assessor advised that this lot may <br />be buildable as a hardship since houses are on both sides of <br />property. Recommend no action. <br />5. Sharon Abramowicz - Plate 37003-2001 <br />Market value increased from $20,335 to $48,000 - 80 Acres <br />from Meyer farm. Paid $700 asking $856 - Market value based <br />on $600/acre. Recommend no action. <br />6. Conrad Adams - Plate 37425-2200 <br />Lot 4 Krause Addition <br />Market value increased from $23,145 to $26,340. <br />Increase due to State 10% increase. State advised Mr. Adams <br />this was local problem. <br />No action required, Mr. Adams will follow through. <br />7. Ed Panasow - Plate 37090-2850 and 2950 <br />Market value of $35,000 substantiated by savings and loan. <br />Mr. Panasow complained that taxes increased 100% over 1971-2 <br />tax. Assessor advised differential due to house being used <br />as a double family dwelling with tax based on 140.% of market <br />value. <br />Recommend no action. <br />Mr. Panasow to request a review of all property of members of <br />council. Requested procedure - referred to attorney. <br />8. Loren Johnson - Plate 37546-2350 <br />
