Lake Elmo Village Council Meeting Minutes July 2, 1974 Page 2 <br />Tri-Lakes Storage- Engineer Bonestroo suggested that we should hold any action on <br />Feasibility this. Since 3M has acquired property they will be involved in <br />Study: surface water runoff and we should be working together. <br />Valley Branch VBWS District letter 6-20-74 requested permission to install 6 <br />Watershed groundwater observation'wells (See map for general locations). <br />Dist.: Engineer Bonestroo recommended approval. <br />Motion by C. Abercrombie second by C. Brookman to approve request <br />subject to VBWS supplying a detailed map showing exact location. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Park Engineer requested to supply a cost estimate for resurfacing tennis <br />Development: court plus cost for new court directly west of original court. <br />Lions Club have indicated willingness to donate $1,000 for refurbishing <br />and $3,500 for new court. Estimate to be available at next meeting. <br />Pebble Brad Lunberg will meet with Park Study Committee July 18, 1974. <br />Park: <br />Larry Parsons: Mr. Parsons requested variance to have a 15' setback beyond <br />neighbors house (39th St. N. - Bordner - Gardner Farmettes). <br />PZC recommended approval subject to Mr. Parsons getting written <br />approval from neighbor Mr. Reese Peterson. Mr. Parsons advised <br />that he was unable to get written approval. <br />Motion by C. Brookman second by C. Pott to refer matter back to <br />PZC at their meeting July 9, 1974. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Helmo Ave.: Motion by C. Abercrombie second by C. Brookman that it is the <br />councils intention to assess 100% of the cost. Counsel authorized <br />to settle appeals if Dreher and Stanfil will agree to abide <br />by the commissioners award. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Civil Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Brookman to confirm the <br />Defense: appointment by Mayor Eder of Don Olson as Civil Defense Director <br />for Lake Elmo. Carried 5 - 0. <br />Lindbeck Body Bob Olson neighbor to Mr. Lindbeck complained that body shop <br />Shop: operation was still operating in residential area. Officer <br />Neville was instructed to check matter out and issue a citation <br />if in violation. <br />Tom Keller: Mr. Keller complained that the property at 2813 Lake Elmo Ave. N. <br />(Ray Anderson) is abusing the residential zoning in the area. <br />Counsel directed to take such legal action as necessary to <br />terminate zoning violation and nuisance. <br />Claims: Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Abercrombie to approve payment <br />of claim from gas inspector Roy Dornfeld and amended bill from <br />B & E Patrol ($231.75) Carried 5 - 0. <br />Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Pott approving payment of <br />claims 74311 thru 74346 Carried 5 - 0. <br />
