Minutes of the Lake Elmo City Council Meeting September 17, 1974 Cont'd, PG 2 <br />Police Study Committee:L.N."Scotty" Lyall and Len Kervida related opinions of <br />citizens regarding increased police protection. Further inquiries will <br />be made and a report made at the meeting Octoberl5, 1974, <br />Camp Fire Girls:Betty Marquardt and Releane Kupferschmidt appeared before the council <br />requesting permission to establish and maintain a mini -park on city <br />property. C.Shervheim requested that they present their proposal to the <br />Park Study Committee on Wednesday September 18, 1974 for their consider- <br />ation and recommendation to the council. The council to review the <br />recommendation at meeting October 1, 1974. <br />Springborn Recreation Area: Bruce Folz explained the latest details of new recreation <br />area to council and asked for approval. Motion by C.Shervheim 2nd by C. <br />Brookman to approve plan subject to the conditions set forth by PZC <br />recorded in their minutes of the meeting September 10,1974. Carried 5-0. <br />Hammes Mining Permit: Motion by C,Abercrombie 2nd by C.Shervheim to approve Hammes <br />permit thru December 31, 1974, This SUP should be, in the future, <br />considered in Dec, with all SUP'S.Carried 4-0. M.Eder abstained. <br />R74-30 PZC-Folz: Member Bruce Folz of the PZC officially submitted his resignation <br />from that commission. The council accepted reluctantly. <br />C.Pott presented Resolution R74-30 commending Mr. Folz for his service <br />to the community and asked for council confirmation. C.Brookman made <br />the second. Carried unanimously, <br />C.Shervheim excuse early. <br />Council salary: M.Eder turned the meeting over to acting Mayor Abercrombie. <br />Motion by C.Brookman 2nd by M.Eder that councilmans salary be increased <br />from TMOO to $100.00 per month and that the mayors salary be <br />increased from $125.00 to $150.00 per month effective January 1, 1975. <br />In favor:C.Brookman and M,Eder. Opposed:C.Pott, C.Abercrombie <br />abstained and C. Shervheim absent. Motion carried 2-1. <br />Adjournment:Motion by C.Pott 2nd by C.
