R-74-9 <br />RESOLUTION <br />VILLAGE OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING WASHINGTON COUNTY TO ESTABLISH A NO <br />PARKING AREA ON DEMONTREVILLE TRAIL. <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Lake Elmo <br />has determined that the parking of motor vehicles on the following <br />described part of DeMontreville Trail North constitutes a traffic <br />hazard because of the substantial number of so-called "blind <br />curves" therein; and <br />WHEREAS, said DeMontreville Trail is the County road and <br />the regulation of traffic thereon is, accordingly, within the <br />jurisdiction of the Board of Commissioners of Washington County; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Council <br />of the Village of Lake Elmo does, hereby, request that said <br />Board of County Commissioners establish a "no -parking" zone <br />on both sides of that part of said DeMontreville Trail North <br />described as follows: <br />All that part of DeMontreville Trail North <br />between that point on the West where the <br />East-West center line of Section 5 intersects <br />said DeMontreville Trail North and that point <br />on the East where said street abuts the <br />residents designated as 8510 DeMontreville <br />Trail North, and that said Board of Commissioners <br />further direct the County Engineer to install <br />appropriate "no -parking" signs. <br />Adopted by the Village Council this 2nd day of April, <br />1974. <br />MaynarOjL.
