MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL APRIL 15, '1975 pg. 3 Lang Vacation:Councilman Shervheim presented Resolution R75-4 regarding the Lang Vacation in the Lanes Demontreville Plat and requested council approval of the final draft. 2nd by Councilwoman Lyons. Carried 4-0. Patti Homes:Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilwoman Lyons to approve the SUP for Patti Homes subject to the restrictions and conditions set forth by the PZC in their meeting on April 8, 1975. Carried 4-0. Richert Gravel Pit: Action on use of the northern road rather than the southern road out of the gravel pit held up pending a recommendation from the PZC. Berschens: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman Pott to allow adjustment of real estate description on Berschen's lot covered by 1972 variance to permit correction of surveying error, as long as there is no substantial change in lot size. Carried 4-0. Claims: Motion by CouncilmanShervheim 2nd by Councilwoman Lyons authorizing the payment of claims 75207 thru 75226. Carried 4-0. Fire Department:Motion by _Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman Shervheim to accept Gary Allen Thompson as a member of the Lake Elmo Volunteer Fire Department based on the recommendation of the fire chief. Carried 4-0. Fire Department requested meeting between the council and the fire board. Meeting set for the council meeting of May 6, 1975. Correspondence: Letter received from the Minnesota Highway Department advising that they had request for a speed check on Jamaca. They will make a study and { report back to the council on their recommendation. Letter from county surveyor requesting notification for any new roads, upgrading of roads, stormsewer construction,sanitary sewer construction, water construction or general development. Proclamations:Mayor Eder advised that he had approved two proclamations. 1Designating the week of April 14 - April 20, 1975 as Minnesota Honey Sunday Week and urged residents to support this program aimed at helping the mentally retarded. 2.Designation of April 25, 1975 as Arbor Day. Airport: An informational meeting for citizens of Lake Elmo relative to possible expansion of the Lake Elmo Airport is now set for Thursday May 1, 1975 at 7:30 PM at the Lake Elmo Elementary School.
