MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL JULY 29, 1975 ' pg. 1 <br />Meeting called to order at 5:15 PM by Acting Mayor Abercrombie. <br />Present: Councilmen Abercrombie, Shervheim & Pott & Councilwoman Lyons. <br />Absent: Mayor Eder. <br />Also present. Counsel Raleigh & Engineer Bonestroo. <br />SURFACE WATER CONTROL: Engineer Bonestroo reported on the emergency surface water <br />control measures taken to date; his report included a report on the present <br />lake levels ( see attached report) <br />KENRIDGE ADDITION:Motion by Councilwoman Lyons second by Councilman Shervheim auth- <br />orizing substitution of $1,700.00 cash deposit in lieu of martgage from Joe <br />Lenz to secure completion of road improvement and park dedication. <br />Carried 4-0 Mayor Eder absent.. <br />SEAL COATING:Councilwoman Lyons presented Resolutton°R75-26, second by Councilman <br />Pott to authorize seal coating for 1975 project in accordance with the <br />engineer's letter of recommendation dated June 24, 1975 and ordered <br />preparation of plans and issuance of bids and asked council to approve. <br />Carried 4-0. <br />PARK ACQUISITION:Councilman Shervheim presented Resolution R75-27 authorizing <br />acceptance of the counteroffer of'Mr. Whitman, of $2,750.00 per acre, <br />for the 10 acre tract of land to be acquired for park purposes and <br />authorizing acquisition of additional 3/4 of an acre at the same price <br />through negotiations by Councilman Shervheim and Counsel Raleigh. <br />Second by Councilman Pott. Carried 4-0. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES:Motion by Councilman Pott second by Councilman Shervheim to <br />approve minutes of the special meeting of the Lake Elmo City Council of <br />July 22, 1975.
