R-75-1 RESOLUTION CITY OF LAKE ELMO WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA A RESOLUTION DECLARING COSTS TO BE ASSESSED, ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR THE HELMO AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 1973-1 AND PROVIDING FOR HEARING THEREON WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the construction of a new street desig- nated as Helmo Avenue Improvement Project 1973-1, and the contract price and ex- penses incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improvement amount to $165,743.32, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo: 1. That the cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby de- clared to be $165,743.32; 2, That the City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer shall forth- with calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and he shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in his office for public inspection on or before January 16, 1975. 3. A hearing shall be held on the 4th day of February, 1975, at the City Hall at 8:30 o'clock P.M. to pass on the proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement and shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assessment rolls.
