Minutes of Lake Elmo City Council Meeting, December 7, 1976. <br />Meeting called to order at 7:35 p.m. by Actina 'Mayor Abercrombie <br />Present: Mayor Eder (7:40p.m.) Councilmen Abercrombie, Shervheim <br />& Pott and Councilwoman Lyons <br />Also present: Bldg. Insp. dueller, Counsel Raleigh, Fnaineer_ Bonestroo, <br />Mayor elect Armstrong and Councilman elect Morgan. <br />Minutes: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd. by Councilman Pott <br />to approve minutes of Lake Elmo City Council meeting of <br />November 16, 1976 as submitted. Carried 4-0. <br />Mayor Eder not present for vote. <br />Snowplowing: Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman Shervheim <br />to change the decision on snowpiowina from tentative to <br />an award to C. Francis Oehlke at $18.00 per hour. <br />Carried 4-0. <br />City of Mahtomedi: Invitation from City of Mahtomedi to sit down <br />and discuss possibility of a single administrator for <br />multiple communities. Meeting scheduled for Monday, <br />December 13, 1976 at the Mahtomedi Citv Hall. Mayor Eder <br />and Councilman Pott plan to attend. <br />Cimarron -Carports -Mr. Sammon: Mr. Robert McCann, President of Cimarron <br />Home Owners Association, spoke on behalf of Mr. Sammon <br />and residents of Cimarron. Motion by Councilman Shervheim <br />2nd by Councilwoman Lyons that council express the feeling <br />that it approves the idea if properly applied for and <br />uniformly handled. Carried 5-0. <br />City offered the services of the building inspector in <br />preparing a structure that meets the requirements of the <br />U.B.C. <br />Equipment: Elmer Richert and Robert Wier_ attended to discuss status <br />of city trucks and equipment. Motion by Councilman Shervheim <br />2nd by Councilman Abercrombie to prepare specifications <br />and authorize bids on a new truck. Carried 5-0. <br />Discussion relative to use of garage and storage building at <br />Washington County Landfill. Councilman Pott was instructed <br />to pursue this subject with C. Swanson, County Engineer. <br />Quotations were reviewed on 2 tires for the front end of <br />the grader. Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Council- <br />woman Lyons to approve purchase of tires from Washington <br />County at a price of $283.29 plus required labor costs. <br />Carried 5-0. <br />Don Erie -Variance: House located at 10865 -32nd , St. mo. <br />Variance 41 covered drainage field could be placed within <br />5 feet of the Fast boundary of the property. <br />Variance #2--a 5' variance on location of garage to the <br />road right-of-way. After discussion it was determined <br />that variance one was not required. The requirement is <br />that a system which is approved by the inspector and the <br />city engineer is permissable. This being met, permit can <br />be issued. <br />Variance #2 was referred to the pzc for their consideration <br />and recommendation. <br />
