X4986 -'• <br />1 A bill for an act <br />2 relating to establishment of a certain <br />3 portior, of the boundary between the <br />4 villages of Oakdale and Lake Elmo► in <br />5 Washington county. <br />6 BE 1T ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE SIATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />7 Section 1, After October 1r 1971 and upon petition of <br />8 the governing body of either of the villages of Oakdale or <br />9 Lake Elmo or the county board of 1,lashington county, the <br />10 judge of the district court of the tenth judicial district <br />11 with chambers in Washington county shall assume jurisdiction <br />12 over the dispute which has arisen over the location of the <br />13 boundary between the villages of Oakdale and Lake Elmo as <br />14 established by Order No. 1-21 of the Minnesota municipal <br />15 commission oated March 11r 1968, <br />16 Sec. 2. Upon receipt of the petition the district <br />17 court shall fix a time for hearing of the matter and cause <br />18 reasonable notice to be given as to the time and place of <br />19 hearing to the governing body of the villagesr the county <br />20 boardr the Minnesota municipal commission and all property <br />21 owners within the disputed area. After a hearing of the <br />22 matter, the district court shall enter its order fixinc_; the <br />23 boundary between the. villages of Oakdale and Lake Elmo on <br />24 the north and south half section line or within the east <br />25 half of sections 5 and 8r township 29, range 21► washington <br />26 county, Minnesota. <br />27 Sec. 3. The governing bodies of the villages of <br />28 Oakdale and Lake Elmo are specifically authorized to meet <br />29 and confer at such times and Places as they may agree and <br />34 enter into a stipulation for settlement of the said dispute <br />1 <br />
