R-76-19 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF TAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REQUEST TO DNR TO TRANSFER PUMPING PERMIT TO WATERSHED DISTRICT <br />WHEREAS, The Valley Branch Watershed District has indicated a concern <br />to continue an emergency pumping program for the berefit of the Tri-Takes <br />area subject to flooding; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lake Elmo heretofore secured a permit for such <br />program from the Department of Natural Resources; and <br />WHEREAS, The City desires to aid and encourage the Valley Branch <br />Watershed District in undertaking responsibility for such emergency flood <br />control projects. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Lake Elmo that the City Engineer is hereby authorized to apply to the <br />Department of Natural Resources for extension of the said emergency <br />pumping permit and is transferred to the Valley Branch Watershed District <br />as Permitee. Engineer is authorized to make such application if and <br />when requested by the Valley Branch Watershed District; provided, <br />however, if any expenses to be incurred in connection with such <br />application the engineer shall first seek approval of such expenditure <br />from the City Councii, <br />Adopted by the City Council this 15th day of June, 1976. <br />Maynao Eder, Mayor <br />ATTEST; <br />donald Mehsi Omer, City Clerk <br />
