R-76-20 <br />WHEREAS, said Joseph F. Moris, Jr. and Charlotte Rose Marie <br />Moris now desire to convey an additional one (1) acre tract of <br />land to Donald Moris and Judith Ann Moris so as to give the <br />latter one contiguous tract of land of five (5) acres in size and <br />desire to convey to their daughter and son-in-law, James M. Black- <br />ford and Judith A. Blackford a five (5) acre tract of land adjoin- <br />ing the land now owned and occupied by Donald Moris and Judith <br />Ann Moris; and <br />WHEREAS, present zoning of said land requires a minimum lot <br />size of one (1) acre for each residential lot but the recently <br />revised comprehensive plan of the City of Lake Elmo contemplates <br />that the land which includes the said Owners' land will be designa- <br />ted as an agricultural use district which would require a minimum <br />size of five (5) acres; and <br />WHEREAS, the said Joseph F. Moris, Jr. and Charlotte Rose <br />Marie Moris also desire to subdivide one (1) acre from the said <br />land owned by them in order to sell the farm house located on <br />that land without selling the farm buildings which are used with <br />the unimproved land; and <br />WHEREAS, all of said Owners have petitioned the City of Lake <br />Elmo for a variance from the provisions of its subdivision regula- <br />tion which requires that all residential lots fronton a dedi- <br />cated public street and the provisions of said subdivision <br />ordinance which require the installation of public streets improved <br />to hard surface standards to serve all newly subdivided residential <br />lots; and <br />-2- <br />
