MINUTES OF THE LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING, MAY 3, 1977 <br />Meeting called to order at 7:38 pm by Mayor Armstrong. <br />Present: Mayor Armstrong, Councilwoman Lyons, Councilmen Shervheim <br />and Morgan <br />Absent:, Councilman Pott <br />Also present: Counsel Raleigh <br />Minutes: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman Morgan to <br />approve minutes of Lake Elmo City Council meeting of April 5, <br />1977 as submitted. Carried 4-0. <br />Minutes of April 19, 1977, Page threee, I94, line five insert <br />word recommended in front of position statement. Motion <br />by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman Morgan to approve <br />minutes of Lake Elmo City Council. meeting of April 19, 1977 <br />as amended. Carried 4-0. <br />194: Special meeting of the I94 sub -committee of the council on <br />Monday, May 9, 1977 at the Lake Elmo City Hall at 7:30 p.m. <br />Invitations should be sent to County officials, our metro- <br />politan Council Renresentative, other affected municipalities <br />and interested property owners. <br />Morgan -Councilman report: The well has been repaired. problem was <br />caused by improper installation. Reauest permission to obtain <br />a new more functional hydrant to be installed in Pebble Park. <br />Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Mayor Armstrong, to <br />approve purchase and installation of a new hydrant, cost $30n., <br />at Pebble Park. Make of hydrant is Eclipse 42 to be pur- <br />chased from [dater Products Company --Eden Prairie, �Ar. <br />Carried 4-0. (Park expense) <br />Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by %yor. Armstrong to <br />approve purchase of a new rock rake which can be attached <br />to city tractor. Cost $400.0n. Source -Farm Service store. <br />Carried 4-0. <br />Pebble Park Tennis Courts are still not complete. Final <br />work is held up until appropriate temperatures are reached <br />Anticipate completion in about three weeks. <br />Councilman Morgan is continuing to pursue the city interests <br />in its 'share of 30% of the income from nark rental income. <br />Landfill: Motion by Councilman Morgan 2nd by Mayor Armstrong that the <br />city county approves the purchase of the Land Fill site <br />according to the proposed draft and authorizes appropriate <br />city officials to sign the contract and make initial payment <br />of. $7,500. within the next 6n days. Carried 4-n. <br />Reid Park: Counsel submitted draft for council to review. It will <br />be added to the May 17 agenda for discussion. <br />Council Advisory Committee: Councilman Morgan will have a final draft <br />.for the council to review. Add to May 17, 1977 agenda for <br />discussion. <br />
