R-77-13 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS, APPROVEING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENTS FOR BIDS. <br />WHEREAS,the City Council, after notice duly given in accordance <br />with Chapter 429 of the Minnesota Statutes, held a public hearing <br />on August 15, 1977, to consider the construction of the followin <br />street improvements: <br />The improvement of First Street and Immanuel Avenue <br />by grading, installation of gravel base, bituminous <br />surface and bituminous curb and a short section of <br />storm sewer to carry run-off to the low area North <br />of the East end of First Street; and <br />WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that it would be in <br />the best interests of the City and of the property adjacent to said <br />streets to proceed with the said improvements: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City <br />of Lake Elmo as follows: <br />1. Such improvement is hereby ordered to the following extent <br />only: the said streets shall be improved to an urban design <br />standard as proposed in the Council Resolution dated August 3, 1977, <br />and as described in the City Engineer's report presented at said <br />public hearing; provided, however, the bituminous surfacing on said <br />streets shall be only 32 feet wide and shall be without curbs or turf <br />restoration. <br />2. Plans and specifications prepared by the city engineer for <br />such improvements, copy of which plans and specifications is <br />attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved and shall <br />be filed with the City Clerk. <br />3. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the <br />official paper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for <br />bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans <br />and specifications. <br />4. The advertisement shall be published as required by law. <br />Adopted by the City Council this 15th day of_November, 1977. <br />Thomas G.
