Minutes of the Lake Elmo City Counci Meeting, February 7, 1978 - pg. 3 <br />Water Rates: Mayor Armstrong offered Resolution R78-9; A Resolution <br />Establishing the Water.Rates for the'City of Lake Elmo <br />per'secti4n 601.08OA of the Municipal Code and requested <br />council approval.. 2nd by Councilman Pott. Carried 5-0. <br />Drainfields: Motion by Mayor Armstrong 2nd by Councilman Pott to approve <br />Ordinance 7415 dated February 7, 1978 establishing 300 <br />sq. ft. as the minimum drain field size in the City of <br />Lake Elmo. Carried 5-0. <br />John Arendt: Motion by Councilwoman Lyons offered Resolution R78-10, <br />A Resolution Granting Special Use Permit to John Arendt <br />and asked for council approval. Zhd. by Councilman Pott. <br />Carried 5-0. <br />Steve Mattson --Duran & Moody: Mr. Mattson explained the procedure of <br />financing improvements for a developer. The cities <br />interest, if any, would be the profit it might make on <br />the project. A brief analysis of profit showed a figure <br />of only a couple hundred dollars per year vs. almost <br />comparable handling costs. Mr. Mattson offerdd his <br />services if city wanted to pursue this or any financial <br />project. <br />Myra bbeck-.-Marilyn King: These ladies advised that an article was re- <br />cently published stating that M. George was offering an <br />item for special. state legislation increasing the size <br />of the Washington County Board from 5 to 7 members. <br />Indications are that this matter had not been presented <br />to any of the Washington County Commi�nitdesifor Support <br />or non-support. Council will consider possible action <br />at the February 21,.1978.kneeting. <br />Building Inspector: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman:Pott <br />to authorize following expense for building inspector <br />to attend meeting February .17,.1978.at Hastings;.$10.00 <br />mileage plus reimbursement for I day lost salary. <br />"Carried 3-2. Mayor Armstrong and Councilman Morgan <br />voted no. <br />Adjournment: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Mayor Armstrong to <br />adjourn at 10:38 p.m. Carried 5-0. <br />
