Minutes of the Lake Elmo City Counci Meeting, February 7, 1978 - pg. 3 Water Rates: Mayor Armstrong offered Resolution R78-9; A Resolution Establishing the Water.Rates for the'City of Lake Elmo per'secti4n 601.08OA of the Municipal Code and requested council approval.. 2nd by Councilman Pott. Carried 5-0. Drainfields: Motion by Mayor Armstrong 2nd by Councilman Pott to approve Ordinance 7415 dated February 7, 1978 establishing 300 sq. ft. as the minimum drain field size in the City of Lake Elmo. Carried 5-0. John Arendt: Motion by Councilwoman Lyons offered Resolution R78-10, A Resolution Granting Special Use Permit to John Arendt and asked for council approval. Zhd. by Councilman Pott. Carried 5-0. Steve Mattson --Duran & Moody: Mr. Mattson explained the procedure of financing improvements for a developer. The cities interest, if any, would be the profit it might make on the project. A brief analysis of profit showed a figure of only a couple hundred dollars per year vs. almost comparable handling costs. Mr. Mattson offerdd his services if city wanted to pursue this or any financial project. Myra bbeck-.-Marilyn King: These ladies advised that an article was re- cently published stating that M. George was offering an item for special. state legislation increasing the size of the Washington County Board from 5 to 7 members. Indications are that this matter had not been presented to any of the Washington County Commi�nitdesifor Support or non-support. Council will consider possible action at the February 21,.1978.kneeting. Building Inspector: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman:Pott to authorize following expense for building inspector to attend meeting February .17,.1978.at Hastings;.$10.00 mileage plus reimbursement for I day lost salary. "Carried 3-2. Mayor Armstrong and Councilman Morgan voted no. Adjournment: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Mayor Armstrong to adjourn at 10:38 p.m. Carried 5-0.
