MINUTES off' LANE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETINGe OCTOBER 17, 1978 <br />Meeting galkod to order at 5s05 pm by acting Mayor Shervheim. <br />Presents Mayor Armstrong (5.08pm) Councilwoman Lyons and Councilmen' <br />Poet, 8hervheim and Morgan (5s10 pm). <br />Agendas Counsel requested addition of Hardy Easement to his segment <br />of the agenda. <br />Lotion by Mayor';Armstrong 2nd by Councilman Pott to approve <br />agenda. as amended. <br />Metro Clean:Airc Marge Christiansen --Metro Clean Air Committee, <br />American Lung Ass°n. of Hennepin County. Discussed the clean <br />w3ir act and left descriptive literature on clean air. Ca <br />ioxfires Councilman Morgan advised that the Park AC has viewed the pro- <br />posed park dedication and feel that the property is acceptable <br />for that purpose. <br />Election Convasss Council requested that election judge appear before <br />the council November 8 and explain the counting procedure <br />before presenting the election result, for canvassing procedure. <br />Derrick: Access to park off hill. Derrick has offered a ten ft. ease- <br />ment for access to the park but requests the city toputup.a <br />split rail fence and black top_the.wa.lkway (approx. 200 ft.) <br />Request counsel to draw up resolution accepting this proposal. <br />Reid Parke We have a grant for 70% funding on this property but grant ' <br />is,only good for 1.year. Miss Reid does not care to discuss <br />this with anyone. Council will table matter for 6 months and <br />review at that time. <br />Community..Edu6ation Advisory Council. Councilman Pott is city r©pre- <br />sontative on this committee.
