pg. 2 <br />Minutes of Lake Elmo City Council Meeting, December 5, 1978. <br />Washington County Review: Mr. Lillie and Mr. Enright presented their <br />position .relative to qualification as a legal newspaper. <br />After discussions pro and con it was recommended that <br />they get an affadavit from the Secretary of State <br />showing that they qualify as a legal newspaper. <br />if they can obtain this before the first meeting in <br />January then they can be considered when the city makes <br />the appointment for legal newspaper. <br />S.U.P.: Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman Shervheim to approve <br />renewal of SUP 9,10,11,13,1025,1034,1041,1,052,1055, <br />1067,1076,1077,1090,1096. Fisher and H]jelmgren. <br />The balance 17-Cimarron, 1023 and 1024 Richard Lambert, <br />1042 Salus, 1050 Slawson and 1054 Lausencr be:invited <br />to council meeting of Dec. 19, 1978 to discuss their <br />SUP. Carried 4-0. <br />PZC Appointments: Clerk pointed out -that the following terms on the PZC <br />were due to expire December 310 1978--Robert Dreher, <br />Janet Sovereign and Howard Michels. Mr, Whittaker <br />instructed to contact each of them to determine their <br />interestin reappointment and also to solicit new <br />individuals interested in being considered for appoint- <br />ment. <br />Par], Advisory Committee: Ordinance has not been finally approved. PAC <br />to determine at their next meeting if this is satis- <br />factory. Determination would be made as to term length <br />for each individual member. <br />Minutes: Minutes 11/21/78. Motion on appointment of Pete ICluegel was <br />seconded by Councilman Pott.(Page 3). <br />Motion by Mayor Armstrong 2nd by Councilman Pott to <br />approve minutes of November 21, 1978 meeting of the <br />city council as amended. Carried 4-0. <br />Building Inspector: Letter from John Mueller to city council requesting <br />city to pay his cost for 3 days of school to help <br />towards his continued certification, <br />Motion.by Councilman_Sberitheim 2nd by Councilwoman <br />Lyons to reimburse John Mueller for entrance fee for <br />building inspector school and three days of lost work <br />time not to exceed $350.00. This would serve as a <br />credit and Mr. Mueller would make himself available <br />during absence of Mr. Rluegel, due to sickness and/or <br />vacation and would be reimbursdd for=,each inspection <br />at current inspection rate of $7.00/inspection. <br />Carried 4-0. <br />Mr. Cropp-Ambulance Service --Larry Whittaker to review and this will be <br />brought up for discussion at 12/19/78 meeting. <br />Jesse's Hideaway Escrow: Engineer reported that all required work has been <br />completed and recommended release of escrow. <br />Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Mayor Armstrong <br />to release the escrow account established to guarantee <br />completion of Jesse's Hideaway to city requirements <br />since these requirements have been met.Carried 4-0. <br />
