pg. 2 Minutes of Lake Elmo City Council Meeting, December 5, 1978. Washington County Review: Mr. Lillie and Mr. Enright presented their position .relative to qualification as a legal newspaper. After discussions pro and con it was recommended that they get an affadavit from the Secretary of State showing that they qualify as a legal newspaper. if they can obtain this before the first meeting in January then they can be considered when the city makes the appointment for legal newspaper. S.U.P.: Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman Shervheim to approve renewal of SUP 9,10,11,13,1025,1034,1041,1,052,1055, 1067,1076,1077,1090,1096. Fisher and H]jelmgren. The balance 17-Cimarron, 1023 and 1024 Richard Lambert, 1042 Salus, 1050 Slawson and 1054 Lausencr be:invited to council meeting of Dec. 19, 1978 to discuss their SUP. Carried 4-0. PZC Appointments: Clerk pointed out -that the following terms on the PZC were due to expire December 310 1978--Robert Dreher, Janet Sovereign and Howard Michels. Mr, Whittaker instructed to contact each of them to determine their interestin reappointment and also to solicit new individuals interested in being considered for appoint- ment. Par], Advisory Committee: Ordinance has not been finally approved. PAC to determine at their next meeting if this is satis- factory. Determination would be made as to term length for each individual member. Minutes: Minutes 11/21/78. Motion on appointment of Pete ICluegel was seconded by Councilman Pott.(Page 3). Motion by Mayor Armstrong 2nd by Councilman Pott to approve minutes of November 21, 1978 meeting of the city council as amended. Carried 4-0. Building Inspector: Letter from John Mueller to city council requesting city to pay his cost for 3 days of school to help towards his continued certification, Motion.by Councilman_Sberitheim 2nd by Councilwoman Lyons to reimburse John Mueller for entrance fee for building inspector school and three days of lost work time not to exceed $350.00. This would serve as a credit and Mr. Mueller would make himself available during absence of Mr. Rluegel, due to sickness and/or vacation and would be reimbursdd for=,each inspection at current inspection rate of $7.00/inspection. Carried 4-0. Mr. Cropp-Ambulance Service --Larry Whittaker to review and this will be brought up for discussion at 12/19/78 meeting. Jesse's Hideaway Escrow: Engineer reported that all required work has been completed and recommended release of escrow. Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Mayor Armstrong to release the escrow account established to guarantee completion of Jesse's Hideaway to city requirements since these requirements have been met.Carried 4-0.
