R-78-8 '/ <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A Resolution Establishing Water Service Rates from <br />and after January 1, 1978. <br />WHEREAS, Section 601.080 of the Lake Elmo Municipal Code provides that <br />the City Council shall establish rates for water service by Resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, it appears that it is necessary and proper to establish new <br />rates for water service in the City of Lake Elmo in order to reimburse the <br />City for the cost of providing that service and to encourage conservation <br />of water; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the following rates shall <br />achieve those purposes: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of <br />Lake Elmo that from and after January 1, 1978, each user shall be charged a <br />"fixed expense charge" of $5.00 per quarter plus $.40 (40 cents) for each <br />thousand gallons of water used; provided, however, the minimum charge per <br />quarter shall be $7.50. <br />From and after January 1, 1979, each user shall be charged a "fixed <br />expense charge" of $5.00 per quarter plus $.60 (60 cents) for each thousand <br />gallons of water used; provided, however, the minimum charge per quarter <br />shall be $7.50. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo, this 7th day <br />of February, 1978. <br />Thomas G.
