Lake Elmo Tr.apaing Ordinance <br />t The purpose of the ordinance is -to provide protection to <br />private landowners from unwanted trespass, while allowing For the <br />regulated harvest and control of wild animals. <br />It will be unlawful to scat or place a trap on any lands within <br />the City of Lake Elmo without written .landowner permission. Permission <br />is to be dated and can be obtained for the trapping season with land- <br />owners approval (signature). Landowner property boundaries are to be <br />identified on a map or drawing and carried on the trapper's person. <br />No trapping is allowed on county or city park property without proper <br />government approval. <br />The State of iiinnesota Trapping rules and regulations will be <br />enforced 4- the city of Lake Elmo. The: Washington County Conservation <br />_lfficer, Mr. Paul Rice (439-7920) will be called if infractions <br />Occur. <br />The city signs could be mocified to say: Hunting and Trapping <br />ordinances will be enforced. <br />The DNR (PSr. Lloyd w. Knud,son, 464-�5200) will work with the <br />Pli.nnescta Trappers Association to conduct a Trapper educa;)sion work- <br />shop in Lake Elmo prior to the 1980 trapping season. Local trappers <br />will be encouraged to attend the: meeting through announcements in the <br />"Lake Elmo Nt;wsle:tter" and the, "Fran Press". Mr. Larry Whittaker <br />will notify the newspapers, of the subject and date through corres- <br />pondence with i'Sr. Knudson. <br />2/2©/60 <br />a <br />
