R80-46 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE, ELMO <br />( WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE COMMISSIONER OF TRANSP. TO PERFORM <br />A SPEED ZONE STUDY ON TIIAT PORTION OF LAKE JANE TRAIL N. FROM <br />JAMACA AVENUE N. TO KEsATS AVENUE N. (MSAS #104) See Map. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo has applied for approval of <br />reconstruction plans for part of said. street (45th Street, Julep, and <br />47th Street to Keats Avenue No and, <br />WHEREAS, the plans for said improvement call for 30 mph curves <br />at two corners which are presently 90 corners to avoid unnecessary <br />taking of substantial additional right-of-way and removal of prime <br />agricultural land from production: and,' <br />WHEREAS, the affected property owners have strongly requested <br />30 mph corners or slower; and, <br />WHEREAS, the developer' portion of: said street'' Lake Jane Trail N. <br />from Jamaca Avenue N. to 45th Street has developed near urban densities <br />in the past several years; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Mn/DNR is developing a lake access on this street <br />which will greatly increase traffic and the number of entrances to <br />and exits from Lake Jane Trail N. <br />NOW, THEREFORE., I3E IT RESOLVED BY `I'HP CITY COUNCIL, of. the. City <br />of Lake Elmo, Washington County, Minnesota, that; <br />The City of Lake Elmo requests the Commissioner of Transportation <br />perfurm a speed zone study of that portion c`. Lake Jane Trail, 45th, <br />Julep, and 47th Streets from Jamaca F.venue M. to Yeats Avenue- N. (MSAS <br />4104) to determine if the maximum speed limit of 30 mph can be estab- <br />lished for this street. <br />ADOPTED, this the 29th day of July, 1980, by the City Council <br />of the City of Lake Plmo, Washington County, Minnesota. <br />SIGNED: <br />Was U.
