R80-1 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY; MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION COMMENDING MICHAEL JOHNSON FOR SERVICE TO <br />THE COMMUNITY AND THE CITY OF LAKE ELMO* AS A MEMBER <br />OF THE JAYCEES, THE PARK COMMISSION, AND THE CITY COUNCIL <br />WHEREAS, Michael Johnson served the community as a <br />member of the Lake Elmo JAYCEES from 1972 to the present, <br />and as an officer; and worked on many community improve- <br />ment projects; and, <br />WHEREAS, Michael Johnson was a charter member of the <br />Lake Elmo Park Advisory Committee and served on its <br />successor, the Lake Elmo Park Commission from May 17 1973 <br />until December 31, 1978; and also served as an officer <br />thereof; and, <br />WHEREAS, Michael Johnson served on the Lake Elmo City <br />Council from January 1, 1979 until December 31, 1979; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of <br />the Cl y of Lake Elmo; <br />THAT, Michael Johnson be and is hereby commended for <br />his efforts on behalf of and service to the City of Lake <br />Elmo and the communitY; and, <br />THAT, this City Council award a "Certificate of <br />Appreciation" to Michael Johnson for his devotion to the <br />concerns of bhe"Community and the City from 1972 through'. <br />1979. <br />ADOPTED, this the 2nd day of January, 1980, by the City <br />Council, City of Lake Elmo. <br />_.$ YTYED a <br />homas G, Armstrong, Mayok <br />PESTe <br />Laurence E, Whittaker <br />City Administrator <br />a <br />
