R8()-6 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE LEAGUF OF MINNESOTA <br />CITIES INSURANCE TRUST AGREEMENT IaOR THE <br />GROUP MEDICAL AND GROUP LIFE INSURANCE PLAN <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo recently experienced <br />a twenty percent increase in premiums for group medical in- <br />surance; and, <br />WHEREAS, the cost per individual. employee to the <br />City and the cost to each employee under the current insur- <br />ance plan exceed the costs of group medical and group life <br />insurance under the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance <br />Trust Agreement is far cheaper than the current plan,- and, <br />WHEREAS, the City- of Lake Elmo can, by Resolution, <br />adopt the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust Agree- <br />ment and qualify for insurance coverage at these reduced rates; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELMO THAT: <br />The City Council of the City of Lake Elmo hereby <br />authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to execute the <br />League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust Agreement and en- <br />roll all City employees in the Group Medical and Group Life <br />Plan, effective March 1, 1980. <br />ADOPTED THIS THE 15th day of January, 1980, by the <br />City Council of the City_ of Lake Elmo, Washinaton County, <br />Minnesota. <br />Thomas G.
