R80-3 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MTNNFSOTA <br />A RESOLUTION APPOINTING CAROL JEANNE NOVAK <br />TO THE.LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL <br />WHEREAS, Michael Johnson resigned from the Cfy,; <br />Council effective January 1, 1980; and, <br />WHEREAS, the term of Michael Johnson runs throuqh <br />December 31, 1982; and <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota State Statutes provide that <br />the City Council shall appoint a person to fill the re- <br />mainder of the unexpired term when a vacancy occurs on <br />the City Council; and, <br />WHEREAS, Carol Jeanne Novak has applied .for the <br />vacancy, is qualified to serve, and successfully inter- <br />viewed for the position with the City Council; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELMO: <br />THAT, Carol Jeanne Novak is appointed to fill the <br />vacancy on the City Council created by the resignation of <br />Michael Johnson; and <br />THAT, Carol Jeanne Novak shall serve from January 15, <br />1980, until December 31, 1992. <br />ADOPTED this the 2nd, day of January, 1980, by the <br />City Council of the City of Lake Flmo. <br />SIGNED: <br />Thoatas G.
