R-81-7 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE COSTS TO BE ASSESSED, ORDERING <br />PREPARATION OF THE PROPOSED ASSESSMENT ROLL, AND ORDERING <br />A HEARING ON THE LEGION POND FLOOD RELIEF PROJECT. <br />WHEREAS, the Legion Pond Flood Relief Project has been <br />completed by the City of Lake Elmo at a total project cost <br />of $7,867.54; and <br />WHEREAS, an amount of fill material was taken from the <br />City maintenance building by individual petitioners involved <br />in this project and the removal of this fill material saved <br />the City a considerable sum of money since the City did not <br />have to contract to have this material removed; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />the City of Lake Elmo as follows: <br />1. A credit in the amount of $4,300.00 shall be applied <br />against the total project costs for this project as a result <br />of the savings to the City on the fill material removal. <br />2. The cost of this improvement to be specially assessed <br />is hereby declared to be $3,567.54. <br />3. The City Administrator, with the assistance of the <br />City Engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to <br />be specially assessed for such improvement against every <br />assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district <br />affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by <br />law, and he shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in <br />his office for public inspection. <br />4. A hearing shall be held on the loth day of March, <br />1981, in the City Hall at 8:30 p.m. to pass upon such proposed <br />assessments and at such time and place all persons owning <br />property affected by such improvements will be given an oppor- <br />tunity to be heard with reference to such assessment. <br />5.
