R82-15 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND THANKING <br />DAVID A. MORGAN FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO AS CHAIRMAN OF THE PARKS <br />COMMISSION FROM 1972 UNTIL 1982 <br />WHEREAS, David A. Morgan has served on the Lake <br />Elmo Parks Commission since its creation in 1972; and, <br />WHEREAS, David A. Morgan has served as the Chair- <br />man of the Lake Elmo Parks Commission since its creation <br />in 1972; and, <br />WHEREAS, David A. Morgan was instrumental in de- <br />veloping the proposal for the Park Improvement Bonds and <br />in securing approval of the bond program by the citizens <br />of the City of Lake Elmo; and, <br />WHEREAS, David A. Morgan guided the acquisition and <br />development of the City Park system through the use of the <br />Park Improvement Bonds, volunteers and donations from com- <br />munity groups, State and Federal grants, and the Park Com- <br />mission; and, <br />WHEREAS, David A. Morgan resigned as Chairman of <br />the Parks Commission at the Commission's March 15, 1982, <br />meeting; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELMO THAT: <br />The City Council, and each and every member, past <br />and present, who has had the opportunity to work with <br />David A. Morgan on the park program, hereby commend David <br />A. Morgan for his outstanding efforts on behalf of the City <br />of Lake Elmo, and offer their sincere appreciation and thanks <br />to David A. Morgan for his service to the City and the com- <br />munity as Chairman of the Lake Elmo Parks Commission from <br />March 7, 1972 until March 15, 1982. <br />ADOPTED, this the 6th, day of April 1982, by the <br />City Council of the City of Lake Elmo, Washington County, <br />Minnesota. <br />SIGNED: <br />Q <br />ayna L.
