RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1982 BUDGET <br />TO COMPENSATE FOR THE DECREASE <br />IN STATE AIDS <br />WHEREAS, Local Government Aid has been reduced <br />$13,514.29 from the budgeted Local Government Aid; and, <br />WHEREAS, Homestead Credits to the City have been <br />reduced $1,684.50 from the budgeted Homestead Credits; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City has no authority to increase the <br />property tax levy to make up for these lost State Aids, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council <br />of the City of Lake Elmo that: <br />1. The balance of $4482.64 in the Emergency Road <br />Maintenance Reserve be transferred to the General <br />Fund to offset increased costs of snow plowing.;and, <br />2. A $3,000. surplus .from insurance premiums be used <br />to support other services in the General Fund; and, <br />3. The Forester budget of $500.00 in the General <br />Fund be eliminated and those duties be performed <br />by the Maintenance Foreman/Superintendent; and, <br />4. The $4000. budget for professional planning on <br />the Highway Plan be eliminated. <br />ADOPTED, this the 16th. day of February, 1982 by <br />the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo, Washington County, <br />Minnesota. <br />Mayn VL.
