R-83-32 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION TO ESTABLISH SPEED ZONES ON 42ND STREET <br />WITHIN SAID CITY. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo is <br />concerned about vehicular traffic on its streets and that said <br />vehicular traffic should travel at speeds which are not excessive; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City Council <br />that there currently is vehicular traffic on 42nd Street in the <br />City which is traveling at excessive speeds; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of <br />the City of Lake Elmo as follows, to -wit: <br />1. The Council hereby requests the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation to perform a <br />Speed Zone Study on 42nd Street from Jamaca <br />Avenue N. to Lake Jane Trail N; and, <br />2. The City Council requests the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation to establish <br />a thirty (30) mile per hour speed zone on <br />a portion of 42nd Street between Lake ,lane <br />Trail N. and Jamaca Avenue N., so that it is <br />the same as Lake ,lane Trail N. <br />ADOPTED this the 3rd day of May, 1983, by the City Council <br />of the City of Lake Elmo, Washington County, Minneosta. <br />SIGNED: <br />ATTEST; <br />�(utv4o � I (zkkv4e_� <br />Laurence E.
