R-83-53 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION REGARDING CITY SUPPORT FOR <br />THE WASHINGTON COUNTSYARD WASTE COLLECTION <br />AND COMPOSTING OPERATION. <br />WHEREAS, yard waste collection and composting operated <br />successfully in Lake Elmo during the fall of 1982, <br />WHEREAS, providing a composting facility for septage <br />waste from Lake Elmo and adjacent comities will ensure path- <br />ogen destruction and reduce odors compared with land applica- <br />tion of septage which has been periodically practices in Lake <br />Elmo, <br />WHEREAS, a site for septage composting in Lake Elmo <br />will reduce hauling distances for the City's pursing company. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lake Elmo <br />City Council support the efforts of Washington County to ob- <br />tain grants from the Waste Management Board and other sources <br />to operate a co -composting operation in the Lake Elmo Reserve. <br />ADOPTED, this 2nd. day of August, 1983, by the City <br />Council, of the City of Lake Elmo. <br />SIGNED: <br />Maynar L.
