R-83-24 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION CERTIFYING LANDS ELIGIBLE FOR AGRICULTURAL PRESERVES <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Agricultural. Preserves Act <br />(Minnesota Statutes 473H.01 et seq.) provides for establishing <br />Agricultural Preserves; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Act requires that to be eligible land must be <br />planned for long --term agricultural use according to the local <br />comprehensive plan adopted pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 473.851 <br />(et seq.) ; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Act further requires such property be zoned for <br />long-term agricultural use with a maximum residential density not <br />to exceed one unit per 40 acres; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo has planned and zoned certain <br />areas as required by the Act. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that, <br />(1). The City of Lake Elmo hereby certifies that all of <br />the areas so marked on the map appended are eligible <br />for designation as agricultural preserves. <br />(2). Further the clerk shall file a copy of this resolution <br />with the Metropolitan Council. <br />ADOPTED, this the 23rd. day of February, 1983, by the <br />City Council, of the City of Lake Elmo, <br />SIGNED: <br />Maynar Eder, Mayor <br />Attest: <br />Laurence E.
