R84-19
RESOLUTION
CITY OF LAKE ELMO
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE NORTH
SIDE OF 36TH STREET EAST AND WEST
OF CSAH 17, AS A TEMPORARY NO
PARKING ZONE DURING THE SNOW SEASON
WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo must provide for the
health, safety and welfare of its citizens; and,
WHEREAS, during the snow season the drivable areas
on the street become more narrow than the actual street
width because of the snowplowing operation; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo is concerned about
emergency vehicle access to all areas of the City; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo has determined that
parallel parking on both sides of the street during the snow
season can create a hazard due to limiting emergency vehicle
access;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Lake
Elmo that:
The north side of 36th Street, both east and
west of CSAH 17, be declared as a temporary
no parking zone during the snow season or
until such conditions permit emergency
vehicle access when vehicles are parallel
parked on both sides of the street.
ADOPTED, this the 17th day of January, 1984, by the City
Council of the City of Lake Elmo, Washington County, Minnesota.
SIGNED:
Maygpprd L. Eder, Mayor
ATTEST:
Patrick D. Klaers, City Administrator
