RESOLUTION 87-50 <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING BUDGET FOR 1988 AND LEVYING TAXES FOR 1988 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo has heretofore <br />considered and has adopted a budget setting forth in detail complete <br />financial plans of the City for the year 1988; and <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Director at the direction of the City <br />Council has computed the amount of taxes necessary and within <br />statutory limits which must be levied and collected during the year <br />1988 in order to provide the budgeted funds; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo has considered <br />the said proposed levy and determined the same to be necessary in the <br />public interest; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo has <br />established a mill rate not to exceed 13.9 mills for the year 1988. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City <br />of Lake Elmo that the attached budget is hereby adopted and approved <br />as the budget for the City of Lake Elmo during the year 1988, and the <br />sum of $482,981 is hereby levied in order to provide the City with the <br />funds required by said budget and that the sum of $75,000 General <br />Obligation Park Bond also be levied for 1988 Bonded Indebtedness for a <br />total City levy of $557,981 or 13.9 mills, whichever is less. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Finance Director is hereby <br />directed to certify a copy of this resolution to the County Auditor in <br />accordance with law. <br />Adopted by the Lake Elmo City Council this 6th day of October, <br />1987. <br />Signed: e"`"`"""_ <br />Arlyn Christ, Mayor <br />Attest: <br />
