RESOLUTION 87-31 <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE VALLEY BRANCH WATERSHED DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF MANAGERS CONSIDER A REQUEST BY PROPERTY OWNERS ON THE <br />NORTHWEST SHORE OF LAKE ELMO FOR RESCINDING THEIR 509 PROJECT <br />ASSESSMENTS OR TO MSZST WITH A D?REDGING PROJECT, <br />WHEREAS, several property owners residing on the northwest <br />shore of Lake Elmo have lost their lakeshore access due to the <br />lowered water level as a result of the VBWD 509 Project; and <br />WHEREAS, these same property owners have been assessed by the <br />VBWD for a benefit to their property as a result of the VBWD 509 <br />Project's lowering of the water level on Lake Elmo; and <br />WHEREAS, the lowering of the water level on Lake Elmo has now <br />left tree stumps and muck exposed on private property. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the City Council supports <br />the efforts of the various property owners along the northwest shore <br />of Lake Elmo to have the Valley Branch Watershed District Board of <br />Managers either rescind the 509 Project assessments to the <br />individual property owners or to assist the property owners in <br />dredging of the muck, removal of tree stumps, and any other means of <br />cleaning up and reclaiming the private lakeshore property. <br />ADOPTED, this 7th day of July, 1987 by the City Council of the <br />City of Lake Elmo, Washington County, Minnesota. <br />Signed: <br />Arlyn Mrist, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />IQ X Y-de, L� 9 V, � 0" �, <br />Robert Lee Overby <br />City Administrator <br />
