Water quality samples in October, 1987, prior to <br />system operation, and again in October, 1988, after <br />10 months of operation, indicate that the water <br />quality is well within drinking water standards. <br />However, the 1988 analysis found low levels of <br />benzene, ethyl benzene, tetrahydrofuran, and <br />toluene. These compounds are not normally found In <br />sewage. The School District is conducting more <br />tests to try to determine the origin of these <br />compounds. <br />—5— 8566 <br />
