LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES NOVEMBER 15, 1988 PAGE 6 <br />D. Administrator's 6 month Probationary Period <br />November 16th marked the end of Administrator Morrison's six month <br />probationary period with the City. Morrison requested a motion from <br />the Council to employ her as a permanent employee or release her from <br />the position. <br />Mayor Christ stated he was extremely pleased with her performance as <br />Administrator and would be more than happy to permanently hire Pat as <br />City Administrator of Lake Elmo. The Council concurred and made the <br />following motion: <br />M/S/P Moe/Graves - to permanently hire Patricia Morrison as City <br />Administrator of Lake Elmo; Administrator Morrison will draft an <br />employment contract, to be reviewed by the City Attorney, to be <br />submitted to the Council at the January 3rd City Council meeting. <br />(Motion carried 4-0). <br />E. Cancellation.of December 20th City Council Meeting <br />As past practice, the Council has cancelled the last Council meeting <br />in the month of December. Unless something develops that is urgent <br />and requires a meeting, the Council will not meet on December 20th. <br />M/S/P Armstrong/Moe - to cancel the December 20th City Council <br />meeting. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />F. Christmas Party <br />Mayor Christ and Councilman Graves will not be able to attend the <br />Christmas Party scheduled for Friday, December 9th. Because of <br />commitments due to the holiday season, the Council decided to <br />reschedule the Christmas Party for. Friday, January 13th. <br />M/S/P Graves/Moe - to reschedule the Christmas Party from December 9th <br />to Friday, January 13th, 6:30 p.m. at City Hall. (Motion carried <br />4-0). <br />Mayor Christ explained he will not be able to attend the December 6th <br />City Council meeting due to business. Since this will be his last <br />Council meeting, Arlyn wanted the Council to know he enjoyed working <br />with them and appreciated all their help. He welcome the new City <br />Council members and wished them the best of luck. <br />M/S/P Moe/Graves - to adjourn the City Council meeting at 8:10 p.m. <br />(Motion carried 4-0). <br />Resolution No. 88-51 Approving Submission of Grant Application, for a <br />DNR Park Grant, for Ski Trail Maint. at Sunfish Part; <br />Resolution No. 88-52 Accept Report on Canvassing Election Returns of <br />City of Lake Elmo General Election of Nov. 8, 1988. <br />
