CITY OF <br />LAKE <br />ELMO g_ <br />077-7 City of Lake Elms® 777-5510 <br />3800 Laverne Avenue North / Lake Elmo, Minnesota 55042 <br />December 2, 1988 <br />TO: Mayor & Council <br />FROM: Pat Morrison, City Administrator <br />RE: Informational Memo <br />PLANNING COMMISSION APPLICATIONS: Effective January 1, 1989 there <br />will be three vacancies (one existing and two replacements) on the PZ; <br />Lee Hunt and Marge Williams will no longer be serving on the PZ. <br />The Newsletter, which will be mailed on December 6th, will be advising <br />the residents of the Planning Commission vacancies, as well as <br />existing vacancies on the Parks Commission. We have, to -date, <br />received two applications for the PZ--one from Arlyn Christ and the <br />other from Rita Conlin. <br />DNR GRANT: We have been advised by the DNR that our grant request <br />has been approved, and we will be receiving $1,895 toward maintenance <br />of the cross country ski trails at Sunfish Park. <br />PROSECUTING ATTORNEY: Jim McNamara advises that our prosecuting <br />attorney, Carl Blondin, of the Caswell firm may not be available in <br />1989 as he is going back to law school, part-time, to pursue a <br />specialized field. <br />The only outstanding file he has, over and above normal prosecution <br />cases, is that of Gould/Bjornson, which should be finalized within a <br />couple of months. <br />DETACHMENT/ANNEXATION HEARING: The Hearing was held on November <br />29th; supplemental papers were submitted which Fritz has ten days to <br />review and respond to; thereafter, it's Judge Maas' decision. Fritz <br />will review further with the Council. <br />
