LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES AUGUST 15, 1989 <br />M/S/P Williams/Moe - to support the reappointment <br />West Lakeland Township to a new three-year term on <br />Watershed District Board. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />H. OTHER <br />PAGE 7 <br />of Gordon Moosbrugger of <br />the Valley Branch <br />Groundwater Management Plan: <br />Councilman Williams reported that the Washington County Planning <br />Department is to prepare a county -wide groundwater management plan which <br />will begin this fall with the appointment of a 15-member advisory <br />committee. The Council advised this request for appointment to serve as a <br />member of this Groundwater Task Force be submitted to the PZ and <br />advertised in the City newsletter. <br />Safety Concern: <br />The Council discussed their safety concern, for both summer and winter <br />driving, on the intersection of the Lake Elmo. Park Reserve. Administrator <br />Morrison reported the Washington County Public Works Dept. had been <br />informed of the Council's concern and the County was studying the <br />situation. <br />M/S/P Moe/Williams - to direct the staff to write a letter to Washington <br />County reinforcing our position letter for maximum safety measures. <br />(Motion carried 4-0). <br />M/S/P Moe/Hunt - to adjourn the City Council meeting at 9:40 p.m. (Motion <br />carried 4-0). <br />
