CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT: <br />A. Partial Payment to Dresel Cont. for 43rd St. & Kimbro Avenue <br />City Engineer Larry Bohrer reported work on 43rd Street and Kimbro Avenue <br />is progressing satisfactorily. The only work that remains is the turf <br />restoration and the bituminous driveway aprons. Bohrer recommended <br />approval of Partial Payment No. 4 to Dresel Contracting in the amount of <br />$36,380.06. <br />M/S/P Graves/Williams - to approve Partial Payment No. 4 to Dresel <br />Contracting for 43rd and Kimbro MSA Improvements in the amount of <br />$36,380.06. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />B. Partial Payment to Valley Paving for 20th, 38th and <br />39th Street Overlay <br />City Engineer Larry Bohrer reported the bituminous overlays on 20th Street <br />and 38th and 39th Streets were substantially completed by Valley Paving. <br />Only some shouldering work and sodding on 38th and 39th Streets remain. <br />Bohrer recommended approval of Partial Payment No. 1 to Valley Paving in <br />the amount of $63,450.64. <br />M/S/P Graves/Moe - to approve Partial Payment No 1 to Valley Paving for <br />the bituminous overlays on 20th Street and 38th and 39th Streets in the <br />amount of $63,450.64. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />C. Bid Award for 1989 Street Repair Program <br />Bohrer reported the last construction contract being considered for this <br />construction season is for the 1989 Street Repairs. These repairs consist <br />of large patches, spot overlays, replacing curbs or culvert installation. <br />This s budgeted contract maintenance because the work is beyond the <br />capabilities of the City crew. $25,000 has been allocated in the "Patch <br />and Overlay" line item in the budget. Bohrer recommended that the Council <br />authorize the City Administrator to award the construction contract, based <br />upon the City Engineer's recommendation and provided that the low bid is <br />within the budgeted amount. <br />M/S/P Graves/Moe - to authorize the City Administrator award the <br />construction contract, based upon the City Engineer's recommendation, and <br />provided that the low bid is within the budgeted amount. Road Crossing Permit - Minnesota Pipeline Co. <br />The Minnesota Pipeline Company is planning to construct an additional 16" <br />petroleum pipeline from Stillwater Boulevard in Oakdale to the north. The <br />pipeline will be placed within their existing 66 foot wide easement and <br />lie parallel with two existing pipelines. This easement passes through <br />Lake Elmo along its westerly boundary from 50th Street to T.H. 36 within <br />
