NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />The Lake Elmo City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, <br />March 6, 1990 at 7:00 p.m. to consider amending Sections 301.070 <br />D.1.d.(6) and (7); <br />301.070 D.2.c.(6); 301.070 D.3.c.(6); 301.070 D.4.c.(6) to read as <br />follows: <br />d <br />All newly subdivided lots shall have at least one (1) contiguous acre <br />of land dedicated for septic system use. This area shall not contain <br />permanent buildings or structures, wells, paved surfaces, drainage <br />easements, or the setback distances from any of the above or from <br />property lines. The suitability of this area for septic system use <br />shall be determined by comparison to the Washington County Soil <br />Survey. If the area is classified as having only "slight" or <br />"moderate" limitations for drainfields, the area shall be deemed as <br />meeting these requirements. If any portion of the proposed area is <br />classified as having "severe" limitations, that area shall be evaluate <br />by soil borings and percolation tests to verify the accuracy of the <br />Soil Survey's "severe" classification." <br />"All lots existing prior to the adoption of this ordinance shall have <br />area sufficient for two (2) separate and distinct drainfield sites, as <br />verified by soil borings and percolation tests. Placement.of the <br />second required drainfield between the trenches of the first <br />drainfield is prohibited" <br />The City Council will also consider at this time amending Sections <br />301.070 D.(7) (d.); 301.070 D.8.c.(6); 301.070 D.8.c.(6); 301.070 <br />D.l.c.(5); and 301.070 D.12.(5) to read as follows: <br />"All newly subdivided lots shall have at least one (1) contiguous acre <br />of land dedicated for septic system use or area sufficient for two (2) <br />separate and distinct drainfield sites, whichever is greater. <br />
